Building Trust – Lessons From Collaborative Planning On State Trust Lands – 08.30.2006Download
Collaborative planning on state trust lands was identified for further research at the 2004 State Trust Lands Research and Policy Analysis Roundtable convened by the State Trust Lands Partnership project of the Sonoran Institute and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Under the direction of Dr. Steven L. Yaffee, a team of graduate students from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment conducted a region-wide survey and analysis of eight case studies in which state land trust agencies collaborated with stakeholders. The observations and best practices in this report grew out of stakeholder reflections and perceptions as well as the research team’s external analysis.
