GWS June: Douglas-Agua Prieta Border Workshop, Agricultural to Urban Water Use Webinar July 22 & More

Summer is in full swing, and so is the momentum across the Growing Water Smart network. We’re excited to share updates and opportunities from across the Colorado River Basin.

This issue highlights our recent binational workshop with Douglas, AZ and Agua Prieta, Sonora, where regional partners gathered to explore shared approaches to water and land use planning.

We invite you to join our next Peer Network Webinar on July 22, focused on the transfer of water from agricultural to urban uses. You’ll also find an alumni spotlight on Ft. Lupton, CO, where local planners are connecting land use and water data to inform decision-making.

Technical assistance applications are open through July 18 for Arizona Verde Watershed alumni communities, and we recently celebrated 35 years of community-based conservation at the Sonoran Institute in Denver.
