Growing Water Smart November Newsletter: CO communities analyze outdoor water use and more!

We are closing out the year with gratitude for the Growing Water Smart community. Next month we’re excited to host two community events. Our Peer Network webinar December 10th will feature Mary Ann Dickinson from the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, who will share insights on the power and potential of water-neutral development. We’ll also gather for a Colorado Gives Day celebration on December 9th at Colorado Sake to celebrate the season of giving.

In this issue, we are reflecting on two successful Metrics technical assistance projects in Colorado, both of which built a clearer understanding of how communities can reduce and track outdoor water use over time. These efforts continue to strengthen local capacity to make informed, data-driven water decisions. Looking ahead, we are excited to host the 2026 GWS Workshop for Southern Arizona communities in March 2026 and are still accepting applications through December 5th.

Wishing you all a restful holiday season, and we look forward to reconnecting in 2026!
