Join Sonoran Institute and artist, Maria Renée, along the Santa Cruz River for a sketching workshop. Participants will learn about the Santa Cruz, be guided to hone their observation skills of the natural landscape, identify a composition, practice various drawing techniques, and create work inspired directly from the river. Any skill level is welcome, and basic materials will be provided; open to adults only and registration is capped at 35. All participants will be invited to submit one of their drawings to Sonoran Institute for future community use. Four original artworks by Maria Renée featuring the Santa Cruz River will also be revealed at the event.
