Dragonfly Day on the Santa Cruz River

Celebrate the colorful dragonflies living along the Santa Cruz River!

Event schedule:

  • 9am to 11am
    Meet the flowing Santa Cruz River and learn about the life of dragonflies through hands-on activities. Event is family friendly and will be hosted at Ramada #2 near the baseball diamonds.
  • 11am to 2pm
    Join a guided tour with two local dragonfly experts Michael T. Bogan and Jeff Babson. Tour starts at Crossroads at Silverbell Park and will go to two other river parks, El Rio Preserve and Marana Heritage Park. Sign-up at the event check-in table. Tour capped at 24. Transportation is not provided: caravan or carpool in private vehicles. Comfortable walking shoes, hats and water recommended.
