Guest Speaker: Selina Barajas with Mountain Mamas Arizona.

Selina Barajas, a fourth-generation Tucsonan and graduate of the University of Arizona and UCLA’s Master of Urban Planning program, is dedicated to advancing environmental justice and expanding equitable access to green spaces. She is the founder of Reinas Who Hike, a Southern Arizona collective that creates inclusive spaces for women of color to connect with nature, improve well-being, and challenge underrepresentation in outdoor recreation. When she’s not working or building community, Selina enjoys exploring the Sonoran Desert with her husband, Abraham, and their daughters, Sofia Luna and Mia Sol.

Mountain Mamas connects and empowers moms to protect our air, water, climate, and public lands for future generations. The Mountain Mamas are guided by our commitment to organize, inspire, and activate Mamas across the Rocky Mountains to advocate for our climate, clean air and water, and public lands. Through advocacy, storytelling, and community engagement, we work to ensure that families—especially those most impacted—have a voice in environmental decision-making.
