The Sonoran Institute announces our 2nd Annual Conservation Benefit Party – The Sonoran Soirée. This premier event celebrates the conservation efforts made in the Colorado River Basin and the community which makes these efforts possible. The Sonoran Soirée will take place May 15th on the rooftop of the iconic Playground Bar & Lounge from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with DJ Xochique. The public is invited to attend and enjoy an evening of dancing, networking, food, and drink for conservation.

Highlighting Conservation Efforts – This year’s Sonoran Soirée aims to raise awareness and support for the Sonoran Institute’s ongoing conservation efforts, with a focus on preserving the unique river ecologies of the Colorado River and its tributaries. This celebration comes at the heels of American Rivers naming The Santa Cruz River one of the Most Endangered Rivers. During the event there will be opportunity to sign letters of support to make this endangered river an Urban National Wildlife Refuge while helping to fund this and other initiatives in the Colorado River Basin. The Sonoran Institute works tirelessly to protect wildlife habitats, promote sustainable water management, and foster resilient communities. Guests will learn more about these initiatives and how they can contribute to the conservation and preservation of this precious landscape.

A Night of Celebration and Culture – In addition to highlighting conservation efforts, the Sonoran Soirée will celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Sonoran Desert region. The evening will feature a live DJ, cuisine prepared by local chefs, and delicious mixed drinks with regionally inspired flavor profiles. The Sonoran Soirée provides an opportunity for community members, conservationists, and supporters to come together, share ideas, and forge meaningful connections. Guests will be encouraged to engage with one another and become active participants in shaping the future of conservation in the region.

All proceeds benefit Sonoran Institute and the critical work we do in the Colorado River Basin.
