Santa Cruz River Research Days to highlight improvements to infrastructure along the river

Virtual event on Thurs. March 25 and Fri. March 26, 2021

Scientists, artists, resource managers and community leaders will join to share Santa Cruz River research and conservation efforts as well as natural and cultural resources in this free virtual conference. Presentations, panels, and open discussion will foster awareness of research and conservation efforts. View the full program.

This year’s focus will be capital improvement projects—infrastructure projects that affect flows, enhance the river ecosystem, and protect residents from flooding. This year, Pima County (Regional Flood Control District and Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department) is a lead sponsor for the event.

We invite the media to attend to learn firsthand about the new scientific, engineering, and cultural projects taking place in Santa Cruz River corridor, which promise to help shape the future of this life sustaining natural resource.
