Sonoran Institute is proud to announce that we are holding our next Growing Water Smart workshop in partnership with Denver Water from March 1-3, 2027 for the Denver Water service area. This year, planning strategically for water resilience has never been more important, and we hope you’ll help spread the word about the Denver Water workshop to eligible communities.
In this newsletter, you’ll also learn about our ongoing work to facilitate community conversations about water for the City of Alamosa, Colorado’s Comprehensive Plan update; Florence, Arizona’s progress to update its General Plan and development review process following participation in Growing Water Smart; and additional funding and educational opportunities in the world of water resilience. These include expanded funding and loan limits for rural Arizona communities to finance water infrastructure projects, as well as the upcoming Resilience in the Rockies summit on October 20.
