Growing Water Smart Colorado Guidebook 2024
DownloadGrowing Water Smart, a program of the Sonoran Institute and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy’s Babbitt Center for Land and Water Policy, introduces communities to the full range of communications, public engagement, planning, and policy implementation tools to realize their watershed health and community resiliency goals. The Growing Water Smart workshop empowers local government leaders to adopt land use plans and policies that support water resilience.
This guidebook serves as a compendium to the Growing Water Smart training for Colorado Alumni. It provides resources related to collaborative and holistic water resource management and land use planning so that communities can shift their focus from supply- to demand-side management, from growth to an emphasis on holistic watershed health, and from siloed governance to an integrated water and land use planning paradigm.
